And my whole point is we never can change it. Sure in the context of this thread things might work out all right. But in reality there are far to many unknowns in history and in the fact that we have no idea how time travel would work and the fact time travel will probably never exist in are lifetime to make any of this viable. So yes when talking about here reality accepting that the Holocaust happened and we can´t change it is not nuts.

Chaos theory suggests it is a bad idea.

I'm not fine with the outcome. But that does not mean I find screwing with the past to be worth it.

A difficult question; my knee jerk reaction would be of course!
After a moment If I had a time machine i would go back further and try to influence towards better behavior.
Then again there is the "historical inertia" argument that someone else would have filled the role.

My next thought would be without him (or another taking his place), that without this example things could be even worse today.

So if I had a time machine I would bring back (to the year 1900) an entire multi media library of history focusing on the 1900's to our present day and disseminate it to the world.
Of course considering human nature I would likely still be disappointed by the outcome.
