Of course it isn't a neurological disorder! Religion is an arbitrary practice. You aren't born with predetermined life decisions or beliefs. In no way would not believing in something be considered a disorder.

As a Christian, I know full well it's a reasonable hypothesis. I once considered being atheist, nbut stayed Christian simply because well...it's the strategically better choice, objectively. If God doesn't exist then great, no people go to hell. If he does, then great, I chose to believe the right thing!
Simply put, it seems better to believe in god than to not, either way, at least when personal profit is considered.

Persecution is defined as "to pursue with harassing or oppressive treatment, especially because of religious or political beliefs, ethnic or racial origin, gender identity, or sexual orientation."
