We've known that this was a hoax from the first page, but some people on this site are not concerned about having the facts on their side when rushing to the defence of the millionaire mouthpiece of billionaires.

The desire to censor and drive out a man that does not think like you seems to be a modern hallmark of the current American far-left. Imagine hating someone who disagrees with you so much that you want his home address revealed to the iconoclasts and rioters. I think Acosta is the worst man in journalism, but I would NEVER advocate for people to be put at risk for their lives.
Of course, you liberals have a record of endangering and blackmailing dissidents. (Ugh. I can't believe I had to link a CNN article. Maybe I should go wash my hands after typing that.)Outer Sparta wrote:So Tucker Carlson should be protected from reality and continually be in his Fox News bubble?
Preserving the privacy, integrity, and safety of Carlson's mansion, family, and property is not "protecting him from reality". It is affording him the rights all men should be allowed to retain when they speak their mind.
Fox News published Tucker Carlson's home phone number when he worked at CNN, in retaliation for him giving out the number of their Washington bureau on air. Fox News and Tucker Carlson just threatened to dox the people they blame for the plan, which never really existed, to publish Tucker Carlson's home address. Tucker Carlson's fans have followed through on that threat, and some random freelance journalist that isn't even affiliated with the NYT is now being buried in harassment from conservatives.
There are few men that draw such rabid responses from the iconoclasts, Antifa terrorists, and other leftist fringe lords than Carlson. If his address is revealed, they will come for him and, as CHAZ and that eight year old in Atlanta showed, they are not afraid to commit arson, or, God forbid, murder.
Anyone that supports exposing a man's address because of his beliefs is evil and are making the statements of a sick puppy. I don't care if it's Don Lemon, Acosta, Christ Matthews, or any other jerk out there.
It is NEVER, EVER acceptable, under ANY circumstances, to EVER Dox an innocent person.
Doxxing should be a felonious crime and should be aggressively, viciously prosecuted. Will the bodies have to start dropping before this plague is done?
There was a protest outside Tucker Carlson's home once. No one was hurt, there was some minor vandalism. For all your screaming about arson and murder, the worst that happened was that Tucker had to do a little cleaning and Mrs. Carlson had her evening white zin spoiled by some loud chanting about what a piece of shit her husband is, something that I am sure was not news to her.
Fox News themselves argued in court that no reasonable person would take Tucker Carlson's comments to be factually true. His job is not, according to testimony made under oath by the legal representatives of his employers, to tell the truth or to report the facts, but to offer commentary.
