Never seen the aurora before, pretty neat from where I am in NorCal even if it was mostly through a phone camera.

Too cloudy and I'm sadly probably too far south to get the aurora, but the photos I've seen from friends in NorCal, Oregon, and Washington have been freakin' amazeballs. Sounds like conditions will persist, we've got another G4/G5 batch of CMEs inbound with an ETA of May 12th according to the SWPC's site.

If you still have solar eclipse glasses from April, you can probably see the sunspots all the action is coming from without any sort of magnification. Got a hell of a good view of it with my solar binoculars!

Dude the aurora was insane, I've never seen it this well and I lived in Maine briefly. Any time we have it here its usually like very much on the northern horizon, now its like the entire US can just look straight up and see it, its wild.

Sadly it was too cloudy in my area to see it until around 3 in the morning.

My sister saw it even at 4 AM, so you could have potentially seen it.

Space weather is still weather, right? So we've got a G4 G5 geomagnetic storm warning because the Sun's ripped multiple fat CMEs in Earth's direction. This could disrupt certain telecommunications and power grid stuffs (hence the warning so that providers can take preventative/protective measures,) but the big deal is tonight we're looking at visible auroras across 49 US states. Peak hours tonight are probably about 2am-5am EDT, though we may have auroras Saturday and Sunday nights as well.

Louisiana must have been the odd duck out, I didn’t see squat.

A tornado was also confirmed in Smithville, Tennessee.

Lovely Middle Tennessee. Thankfully, we've only got severe thunderstorms here in East Tennessee in Washington County. Though, I'll be sure to miss whatever happens, got a convention to head to in Atlanta, GA.

Mine were replaced a while back, were getting too old and drafty. Unfortunately, this also muffled the sound of rain, so I no longer have the pleasure of falling asleep with it in the background.

It can vary with age, around 11 or 12 I think is when I started to enjoy them, before they were more of a nuisance or even a terror depending on the day.

Drove through a tornado warned storm the other day by Pittsburgh. Thankfully was just in heavy rain but saw weird clouds.
