Vistulange wrote:Again, no relevance to the quality of its leadership. I mean, the whole "playing the Great Power game" began mostly in the late 18th century or the early 19th century, when the Empire was at its weakest, and the Jannissary Corps were obliterated in 1826, in the "Auspicious Event". So...I'm not seeing the relation to quality of Ottoman leadership.

Turkey have been saying all along that he was killed during torture and interrogation.

But they're not considering a boycott of the genocide in Yemen, the US and UK make way too much money selling the Saudis missiles to use on school buses.
Why would the UK or the US align themselves against the Saudi Arabians over what is currently happening in Yemen. That's not good in geopolitical strategum.

What Saudi Arabia is doing in Yemen will be discussed alongside the Armenian genocide, the Rwandan genocide, and the Holocaust.
And we won't just be the people who knew about it but did nothing, we are the people who helped make it happen. I am ashamed of my country for being a part of this.
A good geopolitical strategum does not excuse participation in genocide.

I can't speak for all Christians, but it's clear the fundamentalist Evangelicals will defend him no matter what he does. It's been abundantly clear from the beginning that the only god Trump worships is himself, but the fanatics seem to think Trump is a servant of God. Why they think a cognitively impaired conman who would have amounted to nothing if not for his father, a serial philanderer, a man who has openly called for deliberately killing civilians has the blessing of God, I don't know, but I know they think so and they will excuse his every action.
