Boris wants the job, but only if he doesn't have to do Brexit.

Of course, they'll "respond" some time in the middle of August with "Whoops, we left already. Never mind, then."
Parliament will consider this for a debate
Parliament considers all petitions that get more than 100,000 signatures for a debate
Waiting for 1 day for a debate date
Government will respond
Government responds to all petitions that get more than 10,000 signatures
Waiting for 3 days for a government response

Signed it but I need to click a link in the confirmation email to confirm the signature. The system has probably been overwhelmed by the number of people who are signing it, as the email on previous petitions has come through instantly, but I'm still waiting for this one.

That's quite the interesting map actually. I like things like that.
2% engagement in my area.
Edit: Well, 1.91%

There seems to be some difference between the map and the petition page - I presume the map is based on unverified signatures whereas the page records ones that have been verified.
Still, only another 7,000 signatures to reach a million.

Still waiting for my email...

I got my email, but clicking the verification link results in a 502 Bad Gateway error. Looks like the system is having problems again.
EDIT: Just tried it again, it eventually worked after a dozen or so page refreshes.

Seems something is deliberately trying to prevent us from signing the petition to revoke Article 50. Jacob Rees-Mogg, is that you?

Conserative Morality wrote:"It's not time yet" is a tactic used by reactionaries in every era. "It's not time for democracy, it's not time for capitalism, it's not time for emancipation." Of course it's not time. It's never time, not on its own. You make it time. If you're under fire in the no-man's land of WW1, you start digging a foxhole even if the ideal time would be when you *aren't* being bombarded, because once you wait for it to be 'time', other situations will need your attention, assuming you survive that long. If the fields aren't furrowed, plow them. If the iron is not hot, make it so. If society is not ready, change it.

Good job everyone. Now to shoot that thing up to 2 mill, then 5 mill, then 10, then 20 million and beyond!

And easily explains why I had to try repeatedly to get it to work. You'd think that someone in the IT department would have thought "hmm, this might be a very popular petition, perhaps we should allocate more system resources to it?"
