He was the joint most corrupt individual to ever run for president. The other one was running at the same time.Galloism wrote:The Liberated Territories wrote:Trumps already surrounding himself with neocons and other establishment types. It's not like we had evidence that he was the most hilariously corrupt individual to ever run for president before he was elected did we?
Oh wait, we DID.

I can understand having some more establishment figures in there, given his lack of experience. But one of the reasons Trump did so well was because he offered a change to the status quo. If he's going to be surrounded by establishment then there isn't that change.Teemant wrote:The Liberated Territories wrote:Trumps already surrounding himself with neocons and other establishment types. I think this is a good thing because in this case people who surround him are experienced and know what they do but if he would surround himself with anti-establishment people that no one has ever heard before I think there would be more to concern about.

It probably depends how much influence those people have over Trump or are they just going to do what Trump tells them to do. But it is certain that he needs establishment figures who are able to get things done because they know how things work in Washington DC.

I just hope the people who voted for Trump are getting their eyes peeled to whatever news organs they're subscribing to. Maybe this time they'll... I don't know, take a hike? They listened to Trump while he spun his shit -- maybe they'll actually check out what Trump has pulled out of his ass.
Maybe.

Trump can't do that. And even if he did the military could refuse such an order or the VP and the cabinet would declare him to be mentally unfit and remove him.
