I'm a versatile one myself.

The Milo and milk are both in powder form so I blend them in one container. Spray my frothed cream on top to finish.

I'm a top. I prefer to heat up my milk, then add the powder to cool it down a bit.

So you don't add water?

Evidently it's only popular in the global south. And I mean that literally.

South America, Africa, Indonesia, Indonesia, Melanesia, Oceania...

There are two Indonesias? :p

Not Australian, but this seems pretty similar to something I definitely have made in the past. Definitely more of a bottom. I've always felt the chocolate mixes better and I can just pour as much milk in as I want afterwards.

It got split into North Indonesia and South Indonesia. Following the tradition of such splits, the North is Communist, while the South is Capitalist...

The powder first, then the milk. Otherwise it takes forever to stir.

Everything about this is 100% not what I expected.

Never had a Milo before (any of the ones I thought it could have been... ) so don't know.

Arcturus Novus wrote:Milk first, then two tablespoons of Nesquik poured in and stirred (despite my hatred of Nestle I'm very particular about my chocolate milk).

Ah, I see you're a man of Nesquik as well.

First four spoons of powder, then milk, then a sip and some more powder and milk to get the taste right.

And using water is just gross.

So it's chocolate milk from powder, right?
it's chocolate flavoured, but it's different. Tastes different.

For all intents and purposes Milo is basically Ovaltine with a different name.

Not that it matters to me as I hate that kind of crap which explains why I never heard of the Milo brand before today.

That stated if you happening to be visiting Florida, while not every store sells the specific Milo brand drink mix, a few of the Publix stores do from the few I checked online in my local area.

So, there you go, if your so inclined you can find it in the United States, at least here in Florida.

Technically, shouldn't it be both top and bottom simultaneously? Only by going to one partner's POV do you exclude and you can't make the mix if there isn't two to do the deed.

Eww, I hate it when the chocolate is powdery, I want it in large chunks.

I'm a bottom of course. Nothing is better then the feeling of packing a glass full powder and then pouring milk on top

Yeah being a bottom is lazy. Just sits there while getting milk dumped into it.

Jim the Baptist wrote:OK so serious question. When you make a Milo, do you put the chocolate powder at the bottom of the cup before the milk, or at the top after the milk?
I don't mind both, making me somewhat versatile. I also like to layer mine, putting some at the bottom and then extra in after the milk but predominantly on top, making me a sort of "vers-top".
What's your style and do you use any alternatives to Milo as well?

100% top after the milk.
