Well, DeSantis is term limited anyway:
Section 5 of the Florida Constitution states that, for a person to serve as governor, they must:
Be at least thirty years old;
Be a permanent resident of Florida for at least seven years;
Not have served as governor for six years or more of the two prior terms.
So he will be replaced regardless though who remains to be seen but I would feel the Republican has the upper hand given how Florida has turned into a redder State.
Considering this is the same guy who got a bill through the state cong that allowed him to run for president while he was till governor, I'm surprised he hasn't tried to abolish term limits and elections too.
... I just gave someone an idea, didn't I.
Well, I'm sure if he tried to do that, and succeeded, that it would probably hit his popularity more so.
