I, no doubt, would be highly sceptical of this fantastical feline and its promises. If I said yes I would be useless, my life would have no ultimate meaning, and no one would be able to truly love me while I also wouldn’t be able to truly love anybody. Things might seem fine, but I would be nothing more than practically dead, I would be a burden to my family, and the rest of society, I would feel good, but everyone else would feel terrible. I would experience pleasure like never before, but not real pleasure, only simulated pleasure. And in turn I would make people with ACTUAL feeling unhappy, and more miserable than ever. If everything would be a simulation, then even the pleasure I would experience would be, meaning I wouldn’t actually be happy, I would be more depressed than ever, but convince myself that I was happy. Why is an alien trying to get a random primitive to plug themselves into their simulation? If there was some divine inspiration, or an infallible word from the creators of the universe that this worked, or something similarly stupendously obvious, I may have enough reason to accept the offer — some people are making good points about how challenge and purpose can be reconstructed if need be. And there's all kinds of things I'd want to do given immortality and total freedom that I can't get to now. The problem is that if this just happened in front of me one day, and nothing else suggested it might be reliable, I'd start getting suspicious really quick.

Taking the premise at face value and assuming this is real and not a trap, yeah, I probably would. Presumably if it's indistinguishable from reality and can offer me infinite pleasures, versions of my loved ones that I couldn't distinguish from the real ones would probably be in there too, so I wouldn't be worried (as some other people have expressed) about not being able to see them, and if you're refusing because you're worried about the moral implications of living in a simulation or a life without meaning... Tbh I’m conflicted. On one hand I could stop my depression, anxiety, and general fucked in the headness and I could also be back in the military that I loved. But on the other hand it just wouldn’t be the same because I wouldn’t be me.

If everything is great and fantastic than what even is the point of doing anything? Sooner or later happiness will loose its meaning and pleasure won't be pleasure. Reality would bend to prevent you from suffering from bordom but in turn would only cause more stagnation. It turns into a horrifying and incomprehensible paradox.
