This is bad, but it's not surprising. Ajit Pai is just another man bribed by the corporations. I'm far from a socialist, but of course the corporations are going to screw Americans over. It's legal and they can improve their income by doing it, so why wouldn't they? It's not exactly difficult to cover up something perfectly legal. Even if people found out, what are they going to do? Most people would just think "Eh, someone else will do it".

EDIT: By do I meant call them out for it or switch to another provider. Most people probably,y wouldn't bother and it won't just be won't company doing it. Plus a lot of these companies are merging to stay competitive with larger ones.

There are like a handful of service providers of equal (shit) quality, sometimes there's only one option because even though the guys across town can get FiOS, I can only get Comcast.

Let's put this simply, if websites are stores or businesses, then ISP's and telecom companies are the mafia trying to extort said stores for all their worth. The only thing keeping them from doing that is the fact that it's illegal to do such things under net neutrality, and now the FCC wants the internet mafia to run free and people like you don't think anything bad will happen.
