I mean, like I said, unless we have some official poll within the group (which, mind you, is disunited as all hell), there's no way of making that call.

I don't walk into a house party and ask for polling data before assuming the rough spread of partygoers age, gender, ethnicity etc. It's called common sense. Antifa are predominately ancoms. This is known among far-left circles.

they don't like the US government and capitalism, da fuck you mean "stand for the US"
I didn't know burning American flags was being "Pro-USA"

The last one was a bit of a joke. But what? Would you like links to Antifa showing up at free speech rallies, the No To Marxism rally and conservative speeches on college campuses?
Or do you just want a list of the people they don't like?

Y'know, assuming what your foes and allies want is a good way of getting yourself fucked over down the road.

Loyalty to what? Social constructs that have no meaning?
I did not expect someone with a Sonnenrade to speak so much like a postmodern cultural Marxist. I am amused, thank you.

I thought only right-wingers used the phrase "cultural Marxism".
How very interesting.

I'd just like some proof they hate those groups.

It's significant to realize how those rallies are named though. Considering the modern use of 'cultural marxism' to discuss the gradual shift away from conservative social values, and the fact that what is called a 'free speech rally' has more to do with yelling slurs at people and just generally being rather bothersome, I don't really think protesting against those events is that radical, extreme, or violent.

You're a socialist, yes? Or I assume you are.
Do you mind Antifa using violence? Yes or no answers only, please.
My issue with Antifa is that the American network is highly disorganised, strategically and ideologically. That is my issue, not the violence they use.
Now what is your definition of terrorist?
I thought only right-wingers used the phrase "cultural Marxism".

No, it has a real meaning. It's traced back to the Frankfurt School, and the derivatives thereof, who took Gramsci's writings and ran amuck with them on the CIA payroll.

Their acts of violence speak for themselves, and you desperately trying to make excuses for them speaks quite a bit about you.

So you don't mind political violence and intimidation. How predictable.
Just know that you reap what you sow.Now what is your definition of terrorist?
The use of violence by non-state entities in order to intimidate and instill fear in people.
Hm. I'm detecting conspiracy theories and pseudo-intellectualism.
Are you a college professor?

You misunderstand. It's not about what I think, it's promoting a decent discussion about the topic instead of simply dodging actual arguments and baiting each other, because I rather like seeing good discourse.
I don't have any problem with violence by antifa, and would love to see more of them being active, as the movements actions have been rather limited. This is neither here nor there, since that's not why I'm posting here.

So we have roughly the same position. Except you are a hypocrite and I am not.

No I am not.

Or you could provide the proof I asked for.Greater Sahul wrote:So let us assume nothing and live in a perpetual state of doubt. Very impractical and very French post-modernism. And you call yourself a socialist.
Nah. Assume the best, and at the same time assume the worst; try to guess the intentions of your friends and your foes on both ends, but don't act on either assumptions without appropriate reason. Otherwise that's how you end up stabbing your friend in the back and in turn getting your throat cut by your foe.
Also, I sure don't call myself a Socialist. I'm a full-blooded Communist.

How is assuming antifa is predominately anarchist, based on what I see around me all the time, going to kill me?
What sort of communist are you?
