If you've ever had a nightmare that is significant, you can post it here, and it will be added to the OP.
Last night, I had a nightmare that I was a young child. My mother and I got into a cursing fight, which ended with me being spanked by my oler brother. I woke up immediately after that.
So, post your nightmares here.

Both homes are old homes & both have has a previous owner pass away in them. In my old house, I would have nightmares that were very simular in nature from time to time. Over the years, I would notice that I would wake up at 2:45am from the nightmare almost on the dot everytime. Durring the move with most of the furniture gone from my old house, I had a nightmare, woke up at 2:45, an my wife ask me if I was OK. I told her that the house was sad.
Two weeks later, durring the unpacking stage of me living in my wife's house, I had another nightmare, woke up shouting "Show Yourself!". Again I woke up at exactly 2:45am. My wife told me that I'm have a nightmare & I replied "It wasn't a nightmare". Just then, the attic door slamed shut with force enough to hear it from all four levels of the home. No windows were open to cause a draft that could pull a door, because this was early november. It was then that I had confirmed that I wasn't a victim of recurring nightmares, but a haunting.

Whenever I had that dream I was sound asleep, and couldn't be waked up. Now I don't sleep at all, and when I do, it's just blank emptiness from the closure of my eyes to the time of reawakening.

The Western Reaches wrote:I had a nightmare where I was in a hallway, and there was this ox-man at the end of it and he was throwing knives. Somehow though I was able to catch them and throw them back with ease, but they didn't even stick in him.
Then I edged backwards and tripped over, and the ox-man strode quickly up to me brandishing a large battle-axe and slammed it down into my knee. I woke up and looked at my knee and it had a large scar across it.
I am not even bullshitting that last bit, I thought maybe I had got the scar the day before or something but I couldn't remember ever cutting myself there. The dream was so vivid I thought it was real the entire way through, not noticing that ox-men don't exist and I can't catch nor throw knives.

At each metro-stop, authorities in military-like uniforms(eerily similar to SS uniforms)were looking for us so we had to move to another metro-train each time they checked the one in front of ours'. We got to the last one and we hid in some kind of luggage compartment. I woke up after that.

First time, I was at Church with a long time friend. We found train tracks had spontaneously appeared on a hill behind the very large chapel. We found a locomotive at the top of the hill. We got in, and half way down the hill my mother stepped out onto the tracks and we ran her over with a thud, and watched her body roll down the tracks behind us. I was 6, and woke up crying seconds afterwards.
Second time, I found my mothers body in a ditch. It wasn't long after I the night I had had the first dream. I don't remember much from it.
I didn't have another violent dream till a long time later. I vaguely remember I dream of finding my sisters bloody body on my staircase. Scary as hell.
I've had two dreams where I went head on with a truck (once I was walking across the street, another time I was in a car), and everything blacked out both times, and I seriously thought I was dead for a few moments afterward. But for some reason it wasn't nearly as traumatizing as the dreams where I discovered some one I loved dead.
The worst dream I've ever had was the one when my baby brother died. I was holding him, and then dropped him head first into the tile floor. I picked him up, he was crying, and then all of the sudden his pupils dilated, and he died. I've had a few dreams that included dead people (dreams where I was a soldier or watching some violent movie), but for some reason that was the worst.
And that is my depressing life story.
Mozria wrote:Once, I had a very disturbing (and painful) nightmare in which I was lying on my bed (in a hotel that I had visited) and was unable to get up or move in any other way than shifting my eyes. Suddenly, a large, sinister-looking black dog with red, glowing eyes rose out of the shadows behind the open bathroom door. The dog approached my bed and set its mouth on my right ankle and bit down until it drew a large amount of blood, but it did not stop there. I will spare you the details, but I will tell you that it felt like it was actually happening, and the result of my dream was my becoming a bloody, dismembered corpse lying on my hotel bed. During this dream, my father, who was typing on his laptop beside my bed, never heard me make a sound at all until I woke up and explained what had happend during my nightmare. It's amazing what horrible things a faulty air conditioning unit can do to your sleep.

Just a couple weeks ago, I had dream about this event, except the coyote saw us. I ran into the house, but kept stumbling, and my sister kept trying to pull me back with her as the coyote bit her pant leg. I broke free, and heard my sister scream. I only got a few feet before the coyote was right behind me again. I ran into the house and ended up shutting the door on the coyote's snout. I woke up just as the coyote managed to get in.
Rent is 2 Damn High wrote:My scariest Nightmare wouldve been the one where there was a killer clown in my backyard that killed all my family. It was a real nightmare. But the funny thing was, when I woke up I didn't even find it scary, while at differnent times, much less scary dreams have seemed more scary.
