"There's a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious—makes you so sick at heart—that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part. And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all." -Mario Savio

As for your 3:

- AB III had 4 songs on it that I really liked (Slip to the void, isolation, still remains, zero). I have the album, but I have yet to listen to the last few tracks though...
- Nightmare was quite good, but not up to the standard of their previous 3 albums IMHO (besides Buried Alive, Welcome to the Family)
- I respect Linkin Park's growth and ability to change on A Thousand Suns, but there new music just isn't really for me. I'll stick to Hybrid Theory and Meteora.

Mine would probably be:

-Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold
-Asylum by Disturbed
-Diamond Eyes by Deftones
-The Final Frontier by Iron Maiden
-AB III by Alter Bridge

Imperfect Harmonies and Elect the Dead symphony were probably my most anticipated albums
Eminem's new cd had alot of hype, But i was kind of disappointed ( I was still glad to hear from him though)

other then that nothing really doing it for me

Il Tempio Delle Clessidre - Il Tempio Delle Clessidre
Image
Eponymous debut from the Italian Progressive Rock band featuring Stefano "Lupo" Galifi, who did vocals on Museo Rosenbach's Zarathustra. Takes classic RPI sounds and slightly modernizes them. They're a harder RPI band, like Alphataurus, as opposed to more symphonic bands a la Quella Vecchia Locanda.
Boccadasse - Il centro sottile

Pin-Up Went Down - 342
Image
Sophomore album from the French avant-garde metal group. Features a new musician on piano and keyboards (don't remember his name...) Slightly jazzier than the last album, and features a more focused sound.
Vaginaal Nathrakh - Murphy in the Sky with Daemons

Haken - Aquarius
Image
Another debut, this time from the British Heavy Progressive Rock band. Plays a bit like Dream Theater, except the band seems a bit more cohesive and less metal-more rock. Blends symphonic, metal, and rock elements well.
Streams - Sun

Stick Men - Soup
Image
First album from the supergroup featuring King Crimson veterans Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto, along with Tony Bernier. Levin and Bernier play the Chapman stick, which is a string instrument that resembles a guitar neck. It is tapped, not plucked. The augmentation of the strings also allows it to be bowed, etc... They play a very eclectic form of progressive rock, with wide influences.
Soup - Fugue

I also wanted to get my hands on some albums, e.g. A Child in the Mirror by Ciccada and Legacy by Hypnos 69, but they're impossible to find.
I am not at all interested in immortality, only in the taste of tea.

In no particular order

Gorillaz - Plastic Beach

Because they're cool

James Blunt - Some Kind Of trouble
Image

You may think of him what you want, but he writes great songs straight from the heart... Also featuring a great pop-rock song (Turn Me On) and 3 songs which aren't sad (this must have been quite special for him, writing those. BTW, the songs are Stay The Night, Turn Me On and Slide Over Here)

Apocalyptica - 7th Symphony
Image]

3 cellists and a drummer making metal (in all shapes and sizes) and neo-classical music. Need I say more?
Possibly the best band ever makes one of their best albums ever.

The Fame Monster by Lady Gaga. I'm perfectly aware that it was released in 2009, but most of its cultural impact hit in 2010 and it was nominated for the 2011 Grammy Awards, and for that reason I consider it a 2010 album.

I really liked My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, even if the occasional bitches and hos talk grated on my feminist sensibilities.
