Just started Henry Miller's Tropic of Capricorn. I was laughing out loud before I got 20 pages in at his description of the goings on at the Cosmodemonic Telegraph Company of America (i.e. Western Union), then marveling at the deft Milleresque turn to an absolutely profound critique of the sick, twisted American dream.
"...the Republican strategy of disenfranchisement is a state-by-state strategy. It looks like judicial rule where they cannot win. Where they cannot win by judicial rule, they will rule by procedural theft. Where they cannot convince voters to vote for them, they will convince the candidate they voted for to become one of them." - Tressie McMillan Cottom | "...now you have someone sitting on top of the personal data of several billion users, someone who has a long track record of vindictive harassment, someone who has the ear of the far right, and someone who has just shown us his willingness to weaponize internal company data to score political points. That scares me a lot." -- Marcus Hutchins*

The last book I read was The Last Governor: Chris Patten and the Handover of Hong Kong by Jonathan Dimbleby. It is a pretty good book, even if I only read it because it was one of the suggested books for the book review for my class.

I haven't read often in a long time. Maybe some day, I'll have a chance to read something that isn't on a screen. ;)

A book I really enjoyed. Its sequel, Homo Deus is also good.

On the other hand, I'm reading Michael Löwy's Walter Benjamin. Avís d'incendi.

I just recently finished reading Berserk. I really enjoyed it. Many moments I took a picture of the page, or just closed my eyes and meditated upon what I just read.

About 200 pages in now, just finished the "interlude" and the passage about Miller's epic tryst with the sister of a Jewish friend of his in the vestibule of her apartment building. Imagine getting your hands on a copy in like 1950 after hearing how filthy it was, then trying to beat off through 20-30 pages of stream of consciousness..."Jesus when's he gonna write 'fuck' again..."

I currently am reading Oliver Twist. Books that I've read within the past month or so include Armageddon: 2419; A.C. Doyle's The Lost World; C.S. Lewis' Space Trilogy; and William Shirer's Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. Gotta love a good sci fi ( or history book ).
