Max Hastings - Operation Chastise
CYNIC, n. A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be. Hence the custom among the Scythians of plucking out a cynic's eyes to improve his vision.

Interesting. I was thinking of reading that too, and would appreciate your feedback once you're finished.

Not quite finished yet but I'm enjoying it.

Recently finished an audiobook of Les Miserables by Victor Hugo.

It's honestly one of the best books I've ever read/listened to. I prefer it over the play and movie, in all honesty.

That's the cool thing about prequels, that they give you the ability to go back to the original and see it in a new context.

I ordered that and I’ve been meaning to read it. How did you find it?

I've been a fan since the first book first came out, so social media alerted me pretty much as soon as "Ballad" was announced.

I do love Max Hastings, though I haven't read that book specifically.

I just finished re-reading Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. It is a brilliant book.

Recently retook reading The Watchers, by Mark Andrew Olsen. I had read a great deal of the book a few years ago but stopped. Can't even remember why. Since I have some time to, I decided to finish reading it.
