I'm reading The Dream of The Golden Country. It's about a Jewish immigrant who comes to America. She learns English and makes friends after having been placed in a 2nd grade class at age 12. The book teaches you how to be nice and caring for others. It teaches you to have an open mind and listen to opinions, even if they don't match yours. The book makes you realize even though you've been told a million times, that people can be happy, even in poor situations. We always hear it, but you finally understand after reading the book.

Currently over half finished with The Hobbit. If I need to tell you who wrote it, you're a heathen.

Jk that's not a real author or book. But I'm surprised that John Ringo is actually his birth name...and he was born in the year that The Beatles released their debut album. Some freaky stuff going on.

Currently reading The King in Yellow, and have currently finished the first three stories. I am unnerved, to say the least, and in spite of the odd proportions of my copy of the collection, I still find it really enticing and hard to put down.

Also breaking up the macabre with A Dreamer's Tale and have likewise read the first three stories.Poltarnees, Beholder of Ocean is my favorite thus far, but the way Dunsany brings inanimate and mundane objects and locations to life (literally, as far as I can tell) is really interesting.

A great book about a great person.

Speaking of great books about great people, I'm rereading The Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis again. He was a good writer and if you read it as the opposite, these letters could be coming from an angel.

The Three Body Problem by Cixin Lu..

It's really good, not only does it have me delving into Wikipedia every few pages it also provokes a lot of thinking. It's a book a lot of people recommended and then I went ahead and bought it and I am very glad people recommended it.
