"The Old Man and the Sea". A very good book, highly recommend it.

Just read The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss for a fantasy book club. Reading Six of Crows (Leigh Bardugo) for the same reason.

Also been meandering through Emma Goldman's collected essays over the past few weeks.

Currently, I'm reading "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline. So far the book has been great and I highly recommend it.

Weissenberg is a center-right PMT nation with tricky means of diplomacy, set in a parallel universe with forward technologies but archaic political atmosphere. Despite being named "Most Serene Republic", it is a diplomatically menacing nation run by the conservative who are likely influenced by the junta they 'overthrew'.

Le Journal Weissenberger: First Minister Michel Stuart won the election with the sweeping victory and has chosen his Board of Minister Executives.
This is my least favorite nation, so there will be no update. But it's probably the best to live in.

Its pretty cool

I read "A Walk in the Woods" by him, as I enjoy hiking the AT, but have a number of his books on my to read. Very interesting balance of story and humor with just enough facts to keep you educated and feeling you learned something while keeping up the pace.

Edit: this is my first time in a forum and didn't realize this post was from 2010. Whoops. Still, Bill Bryson. Good author.

Currently re-reading Worm by Wildbow. It's long but amazing and Worm 2 is coming soon so I figured I run through it again. I just finished One Thousand and One Nights after re-reading Hamlet and reading Macbeth. And those after reading The Long Earth Series by Terry Pratchett and Steven Baxter. I recommend 1001 if you want an example of older, oral story telling with more than a few (to me) what the heck moments as well as an interesting look into how magic worked to them. Shakespeare is Shakespeare and must always be recommended, but I really enjoy Hamlet, though Macbeth had quite a few excellent moments in it. The Long Earth Series is great sci-fi as it examines the ramifications of a single change with wide reaching consequences and examines those consequences in depth. It's thought provoking, humorous, fun to read, and insightful. Highly recommend. Worm, a web serial from 2011, is just amazing as previously stated. It manages to make, to me, superheroes interesting by making them human. They're driven by realistic goals and motivations and the vast majority of characters manage to be sympathetic and I found myself rooting for both sides of many engagements.

Holy shit I didn't know worm was getting a sequel. I've read it twice but I've already considered giving it a 3rd read.

Think and Grow Rich
Also, I have my little pocketbook: Sun Tzu The Art of War, on me most of the time!

Can someone suggest me good books on public speaking, how to learn to be a politician, where to start and stuff like that?

Thank you
