For some reason, I posted here five years ago. I'm now reading a different book, in dribs and drabs to be sure, but nonetheless:

Kim, by Kipling.

Stop making shit up, though. Links, or it's a God-damn lie and you know it.

Just finished The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman.

Oh, wow. I’m really glad my friend insisted I read this book. This was a profoundly beautiful read, with great characters and an ending that made me cry a bit (thanks, Neil Gaiman).

Going back to 1988, Volume 1 of The Fleet, a shared universe SF series.
CYNIC, n. A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be. Hence the custom among the Scythians of plucking out a cynic's eyes to improve his vision.

Just started the series with The Eye of the World on audio. Might stick to audio until book 6 then go to kindle/audio combo (Whispersync) from there onwards.

I don't know if I could put myself through that. I'm re-reading the first seven books before I read the last seven for the first time (they weren't published when I first started reading the series and I never picked it back up 'til two years ago). It's such an investment. Not that I'm complaining, I love the Wheel of Time.

I need to embrace the audio book. I'm still old fashioned.
