I'm guessing that the people voting for the Stormtroopers have never actually seen Dr. Who before. Granted, I haven't, either, but I at least know enough about it to know that the Daleks would completely annihilate the Stormtroopers.

Stormtroopers, hands down. All they would need to do to win is go up or down a staircase. :p

Neither the stormtroopers or the Daleks win. The the Doctor can defeat both the Cybermen and the Daleks at the same time by himself so I have no doubt that he can defeat the stormtroopers and Daleks with Luke Skywalker lending a hand.

It would depend on which unit of stormtroopers we are refering to. Take for instance the Imperial 501st which perfected destroying entire planets - therefore I am going with the 501st and Stormtroopers.

Indeed, the 501st were the best of the best, veterans of the Clones Wars. Not to mention their utter hatred of robots (whom they referred as "gearheads"), which the Daleks looked like. Thus, the Daleks would stand no chance against them.

Indeed, yes. They HAVE seen worse during the Clone Wars, facing all the droid forces the Separatists could throw at them.

If we’re to use the BBC reasoning that what we see on tv/films is what has canonically occurred, then the Daleks have exterminated a lot more diverse groups, than storm troopers (who in the films didn’t seem able to kill anyone).

I said 'person'.

Because the Doctor has defeated the Daleks so often, he has become their collective arch-enemy and they have standing orders to capture or exterminate him on sight. In later fiction, the Daleks know the Doctor as "Ka Faraq Gatri" ("Bringer of Darkness" or "Destroyer of Worlds"), and "The Oncoming Storm". Both the Ninth Doctor (Christopher Eccleston) and Rose Tyler (Billie Piper) suggest that the Doctor is one of the few beings the Daleks fear. In "Doomsday", Rose notes that while the Daleks see the extermination of five million Cybermen as "pest control", "one Doctor" visibly un-nerves them (to the point they physically recoil).

and wasn't it Rose (Billie Piper) who ended up Exterminating all the daleks?

well, there were those stormtroopers that nearly wiped out the jedi...

the better question would be... who would win. The Time Lords or the Jedi... :p

Here’s a thought....all the Daleks would have to do is travel back far enough in time, and meddle with the history of the Star Wars Universe enough that no Empire would ever develop.

Stormtrooper: Daleks, be warned; you have declared war upon the Empire.
Dalek Sec: This is not war. This is pest control!
Stormtrooper: We have five million stormtrooper. How many are you?
Dalek Sec: Four.
stormtrooper: You would destroy the Stormtrooper with four Daleks?
Dalek Sec: We would destroy the stormtroopers with one Dalek! You are superior in only one respect.
stormtrooper: What is that?
Dalek Sec: You are better at dying!

As Dalek Sec says best, "This isn't war It is pest control"
Enough Said Daleks for the win.

Considering the Daleks have both an extensive arsenal of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons, it's a no contest situation.

Also, consider this.....a 3 Daleks(if my memory serves me), fought off the RAF Regiment(who had superior numbers) during Remembrance of the Daleks, while the storm troopers couldn't defeat a bunch of teddy bear insurgents, armed only with wooden spears and rocks(3rd Star Wars film), so you tell me....who's really the more skilled aggressor?

The Daleks who defeat a premier ground defense regiment or the storm troopers who lose to stone age bears?
