Death metal. black metal and such evil music (power metal is nice, though)

Cant stand new rap and new pop. It does not take any talent any more. Old rap was fair i say but i was never a big fan of it so i am no good judge. Old rap used to have meaning and passion but it died along with Tupac IMO. Also death metal/Black metal (anything with screaming/growling kills me). However i like metal with clear vocals so i do not hate all metal. Jazz is a little annoying too but not that bad.

That's about it really. There's obviously a lot of things I don't listen to, but only a few that I disliked enough to mention.

I'm so narrow in my music tastes - I can't stand it if it isn't either:

Rock
Country that tells a story... like "In Color" or "The night the lights went out in Georgia"
Classical orchestra type pieces

So, I can't stand pop, rap, most country, techno (I hate techno), oldies, um, and I don't like big band stuff from the 20's either bleh.

I deeply despise all superficial and worthless genres claiming to be music. That would be most "mainstream" genres, like pop/rock and the like, as well as anything corrupted by it. I also tend to dislike genres that are only for short-lived excitements and fail to find deeper meaning, like dance, techno, etc.

But I love classical music with an even deeper passion. Jazz also deserves some merit, and so does some heavy metal and progressive rock. Of course, there are exceptions within pop and rock and dance, but they're rare.
