Protests can take many forms.

Yes indeed. But in this thread, I was sort of thinking of anti-war protests, etc.
we, unlike the bourgeoisie, have nothing to lose and therefore our expression will be the only honest one, our words will be the only challenging ones and our art will be the one revolutionary expression. We need new noise and new voices and new canvases to become something more than the last poets of a useless generation.

Rape Me- Nirvana

A strong anti-rape song with a powerful message; Go ahead, rape me. Whup my ass. But one day, I'm gonna' come back and rape you back, and you ain't even gonna' know it.

Music itself is a drug. Just how drug dealers and users both get hooked on the substance, artists and listeners alike can get hooked on the tune.

I'm pretty sure that song was really more directed at the media and had less to do with actual rape.

True. Very true. Reminds me of Disney World. Just commercial fat-cats.

I'd have to say Eve of Destruction is my favorite protest song.

About me
I may be young, and that's okay. Since age does not always bring wisdom. I may be stubborn to the point of stupidity; but at least I fight for my beliefs. I may be fooled by a lie; but I can then say I trusted. My heart may get broken however, then I can say I truly loved. With all this said I have lived. :D

I'm politically syncretic so stop asking. :)

None of that was trying to justify his suicide in any way whatsoever. You've never had to deal with depression before, have you?

No. I've had to deal with people who were depressed and I might add I'm a damn good therapist (but a gawdawful marriage counselor... ).
