Would you read a book about...

Postby Neptunian Moons » Tue Dec 28, 2010 8:32 am

Eight ways to cook the Earth? Not informative. the ideas are really science fiction related. And it has characters...that do things, like a classic end of the world book.

A super-soldier project? Like Halo, but not exactly halo.

the discovery of a Dyson Sphere? Think Ringworld.

An alternate histroy novel about the Usa and Csa becoming the USSA and CSSA?

The end of the universe?

Vampires? NOT LIKE TWILIGHT. like Fright Night.

The Nuclear apocalypse? Nk vs. SK, which evolves to PRC and USA. think Dr. Strangelove.

Another alternate history novel, which takes place in the 60's and has atomic rockets? Retropunk style.

Any other suggestions? Do you like them? Would you read them? Are you bored?
I laugh at those who assume that Communism is morally wrong.
I'm going to spoil some stories below, well, those I haven't written yet.
Titan 1000 is not the last Peacekeeper. Chuck of the Dead doesn't end in the first. The world ends in Eight Ways to Cook the Earth

For those who want to know about me:
Right, like I'll tell you!

Another spoiler for those who like them:
I am 15 years old. And a male of the species. Which one, well, I am a Gliesean (from the star Gliese 581g). I time travel for fun.

There is more to a book than its setting. Think of a story with a satisfying ending first.
Are we there yet?

Like eight different scenarios where the world could end? Maybe.

No.

I had to look that up. Can you really discover it? Oh, and no I wouldn't.
Neptunian Moons wrote:An alternate histroy novel about the Usa and Csa becoming the USSA and CSSA?

Probably not.

The subject matter would need some fiddling, but it would really depend on how it's written.
Neptunian Moons wrote:Vampires? NOT LIKE TWILIGHT. like Fright Night.

I hate vampires in general. Stupid concept.
Neptunian Moons wrote:The Nuclear apocalypse? Nk vs. SK, which evolves to PRC and USA. think Dr. Strangelove.

If it had characters and stuff yes. Otherwise no.

How about no?

A super-soldier project? Like Halo, but not exactly halo

Wow! What a novel concept! No one has ever wrote any books like THAT before! [/sarcasm]

the discovery of a Dyson Sphere? Think Ringworld.

What the hell is Ringworld?

An alternate histroy novel about the Usa and Csa becoming the USSA and CSSA?

Die.

The end of the universe?

I think I'm seeing a pattern....

Vampires? NOT LIKE TWILIGHT. like Fright Night.

A ridiculously overused idea.

The Nuclear apocalypse? Nk vs. SK, which evolves to PRC and USA. think Dr. Strangelove.

Another alternate history novel, which takes place in the 60's and has atomic rockets? Retropunk style.

Bad ideas.

Any other suggestions? Do you like them? Would you read them? Are you bored?

YES

I need to see some fleshed-out ideas for each concept; writing a book based off of stereotypes is a certain way to fail.

If they are well-written, yes. Otherwise no.
The Serene and Glorious Reich of Nazi Flower Power has existed for longer than Nazi Germany! Thank you to all the brave men and women of the Allied forces who made this possible!
