One word for you: Rush.

Not a huge fan of Rush, the radios always play Rush in the off-hours because the CBC mandates the amount of time which has to be filled with Canadian-made content.. *snickers* for television that meant the creation of Bob and Doug McKenzie which actual was good ol' Canadian-made content.. as a joke to snub the Canadian government.

Pfft, there are many many bands from many many places, many are amazing, many are awful. I could counter-act your first five bands with five awful British acts (though I don't think your examples were amazing anyway, but whatever).
But, if we are going to associate a band with where it came from and thus judge the whole country on this, remember that Arcade Fire came from Montréal.

I couldn't tell what ITT stood for.

Just gonna guess it refers to everyone.

In that case, AC/DC. They're probably my favourite band anyway.

ITT = In this thread. Because it doesn't seem to be any discussion but people stating bands not coming from Britain which they think are good.

Following on this, all humans came from Sub-Saharan Africa, so suck it, everywhere but sub-Saharan Africa.

Alright, those other bands are good, but Iron Maiden might as well be the Micheal Jackson of heavy metal.

Okay, I'll answer it now.

Biffy Clyro wasn't unpleasant to the ears. I dunno if they count as being really good, but they're...well, they're mediocre, really.
