Both of those bands are awesome. And retained their core throughout their career, unlike Metallica.

I don't. I hate just about all extreme metal. I'll admit I know nothing of thrash. I simply want to see the NS opinion. And my point remains that I love Metallica and like Megadeth, and hate the latter two.

Metallica and Megadeth are the better two by far
Slayer is decent, just IMO not as good as the above two
I've never cared for Anthrax honestly

1. Metallica
2. Megadeth
3. Slayer
4. Anthrax

Anthrax really hardly crosses into Extreme Metal territory though... they are fronted by a falsetto vocalist, or at least were during their heyday. They're Thrash through and through and, by extension, Extreme Metal I guess, but they're really not as harsh as bands like Exodus, Kreator, and Possessed.

The Beatles.

Why are the only options metal bands? :S

Or perhaps this isn't about four piece bands...
we, unlike the bourgeoisie, have nothing to lose and therefore our expression will be the only honest one, our words will be the only challenging ones and our art will be the one revolutionary expression. We need new noise and new voices and new canvases to become something more than the last poets of a useless generation.

Ah right, okay. I know nothing of that, so I'll not venture forth an opinion.

"The sovereign represents the state; he and his people form but one body, which can only be happy as far as united by concord. The prince is to a nation he governs, what a head is to a man; it is his duty to see, think and act for the whole community, that he may procure it every advantage of which it is capable."-Friedrich der Große
