Historic People in Alternate History

Postby New East Ireland » Wed Dec 01, 2010 2:55 pm

I thought of this after a period of boredom and said to myself, "What would it be like if these people where in alternate history?". So out of boredom, I made this thread to see what your ideas are. You can choose anyone from any time in history, and I don't care if you use the same person twice...

Mine are:

Josef Stalin- A Russian preacher and priest for the Russian Orthodox Church. He opposed Lenin's Bolshevik movement in the Russian Empire and helped the soldiers at St. Petersburg repel Lenin's forces.

John Kennedy- President of the United States from 1968-1976 and founder of the American International Defense Coalition (AIDC).
"A joke is a very serious thing."

- Winston Churchill

Martin Luther King Jr.- Elected as the first black president in 1991, running as the Republican Candidate instead of George H.W. Bush. He runs for office again, but is assassinated in 1996

Jesus Christ- He successfully leads a rebellion that results in the destruction of the Roman Empire and takes control of even more of Europe. He then conquers much Africa and Arabia, spreading Christianity throughout the Empire. Under Christ's control, there is no real democracy, but propaganda makes the populace think there is. As centuries pass, the Roman Empire is still alive, Islam is never founded, as is the same for many Middle Eastern empires. India is also taken over and used for slaves. As time continues, the Romans discover America and spread Christianity throughout the Americas as well. Finally, the Slavic, Scandinavian, and Anglican Rebels unite with the Russians for independence in the mid- 1800s, resulting many democracies that had long been starved of freedom. Christianity, however, has had an even larger effect on science and the world. Figures like Charles Darwin, Benjamin Franklin, and Da Vinci are all put to death for treason and blasphemy. In modern time, Christians are 3/4 of the world population, whilst atheism is barely 5% of the world population.

Adolf Hitler- Hitler, instead of siding with the Nazi, becomes an advocate for World Peace after the horrors he sees in World War 1. He goes down into history for improving the German economy, being elected President of the Weimar Republic as a member of the German Democratic Party in 1925. Through peaceful negotiations, Germany becomes a close ally to many Capitalist nations. Mussolini instead, goes down in history as the cause of World War II, with his invasion of Albania. germany sides with the Allies and together, Mussolini is defeated in 1943, and Japan in 1945.
When life gives you lemons. . . You might as well shove 'em where the sun don't shine, because you sure as hell aren't ever going to see any lemonade.-Rob Thurman
