i Agree, some parts of that is an exaggeration, but the point i made was i dont like it becouse its a clear rip-of of other fantasy books and to an extent star wars. i like when i was a kid, but when i started reading more fantasy books, i started to dislike it for its poor writing and predictable storyline.

Star Wars, its funny that I'm actually watching it right now. Harry Potter is just, weird.

Also, I love the Star Wars expanded universe.

I like Star Wars more, but I love them both.

I support a healthy mixture of faith and logical reasoning. I realize that may mean something different to you, but I really don't care. I can be dissuaded through a logical argument. I'm fun to be around, but if you annoy me I will cut you.

I prefer bacon, so, in a sense, you are right.

Harry Potter is far better than Star Wars. I've only seen the first Star Wars, and it was okay, but not what I'm into. Harry Potter isn't either, but at least it keeps me interested, not to mention, my mom and sister were into it, and naturally, I became into it when the first movie came out. I'm still trying to finish the last book.

I wonder if when you say "the first Star Wars" do you mean Episode IV or Episode I? If the latter, one should not judge the whole series on it.

"Our progress in degeneracy appears to me to be pretty rapid. As a nation, we began by declaring that "all men are created equal." We now practically read it "all men are created equal, except negroes" When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read "all men are created equal, except negroes, and foreigners, and Catholics." When it comes to this I should prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretence of loving liberty -- to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocracy." - President Abraham Lincoln.

As long as you aren't talking about the prequels, star wars all the way. The harry potter movies are okay but the 6th one was absolutely horrible. As far as the star wars prequels go, just watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxKtZmQgxrI

Star Wars, no contest. I mean, I like Harry Potter, but still, it's hard to beat Star Wars in sheer epicness.

Star Wars, hands down. Don't get me wrong, I like Hairy Otter, but Star Wars is far more epic in my opinion.
