You have that backwards; Connery than Brosnan. I even admit I do have a bias towards Brosnan because he is the Bond I grew up on, but Sean Connery is the fuckin' man. Bond's heritage was changed to part Scottish because of how good a job Connery did playing the character. As for my favourite, it would be terribly hard to choose but if I had to I would say From Russia with Love.

My favorite bond movie is probably Die Another Day. And Brosnan IS bond to me.

Yeah, sinner, heretic, etc etc etc.

There is no greater Bond then Sean Connery, and Dr. No is my favorite (followed by From Russia with Love and Goldfinger). Though after him, Daniel Craig is the best in Casino Royale and Pierce Brosnan in Goldeneye and the World is Not Enough (or was that because of Denise Richards, huh). Either way, I didn't like his last one. Nor did I care for the politically correct Bond girl. Every other Bond, was meh at best. Though I did like Timothy Dalton in The Living Daylights, but I don't think he was a good bond. I think I just liked the movie.

Possibly Goldfinger or Goldeneye, I think. All of Connery's first stint of Bond films were great though so it's not easy to choose, but Goldfinger just seems to have a little extra something to set it apart from the rest. And I threw Goldeneye up there because it was actually the first one I ever watched from start to finish (as a kid I'd always watch bits of them but never a whole film) and that was thanks to getting obsessed with the N64 game. For that reason Brosnan is my second favourite Bond behind Connery. It's a shame that Brosnan's last two films were a bit rubbish compared to his first two. In fact that happened with Roger Moore too, Live and Let Die and Man with the Golden Gun were good but his films got progressively worse until A View to a Kill which is one of my least favourite in the whole series. I didn't think Dalton made a good Bond, and to be honest I tend not to count Daniel Craig's films as "Bond films" in the same way as the others, they just seem like generic action films to me (yes I know it's closer to the book Bond blah blah), plus Quantum of Solace was just terrible.

I like You Only Live Twice. And to me, Roger Moore will always be Bond. Not because he was "better than the others" but mainly because he played Bond in the first few movies I saw.

Goldfinger is my favourite.

And Sean Connery is the best Bond by a mile!

The Living Daylights. Connery is the best bond, mind.
Technically a Polanski.

That's fair; they're not asking which is the best Bond, just your favourite.

Which is why mine is Moonraker.

From Russia with Love has the best plot, closely followed by OHMSS. A lot of the Connery ones are good, what with the casual sexism, "Move along dear, man talk" and cool cold war stylings.

You Only Live Twice has the best line; "This is my secret ninja training school" that and the added bonus of Bond's borderline racist Japanese make-over.

They should have got Brosnan in in 87 instead of Dalton and given him a longer run at it. Dalton was rubbish. Moore was the one I grew up with. He had a deft touch but carried on for way too long. The new ones are boring; Bourne-identity rip-offs.

The worst one is Moonraker. A cheap attempt to ride the wave of the Star Wars phenomenon. Awful effects and plot. The laser tropper fight and that line Jaws has at the end after he becomes a good guy, "Here's to us"? Jesus, its' so bad.

I'm probably one of the few people who would say Casino Royale was their favourite Bond film. It's just more my kind of movie (And yes, I mean the new one, not the old spoof).

Though Connery is definitely the best Bond.

I think 'From Russia With Love' was the best. Even though I didn't saw all movies. 'Tommorow Never Dies' was also very good. And 'Dr No' is just classic :-). Hey, maybe you can make a poll on this topic, that'd be nice.

Connory is awesome, indeed. He's the best Bond actor.
