X Factor

Postby Angleter » Sun Nov 07, 2010 8:52 am

If this doesn't count as arts, then it's certainly fiction. So, here's the thread for all us lowlives to argue and complain about the X Factor (UK, 2010). Here's my two cents on all the acts:

Aiden: he can sing, but only one kind of song.
Cher: veers between thinking she's black and thinking she's Cheryl.
Katie: can't really sing.
Mary: can sing, but not brilliant.
Matt: meant to win, can sing, but I don't think he'll succeed in the music industry.
One Direction: as flat as Wagner, but meant to be serious. No talent and deserve only our contempt.
Paije: can sing, could do well post-X Factor, but not the most talented.
Rebecca: my favourite of the serious entries, but could well end up being Simonised into another Leona.
Treyc: meant to have a big voice, but goes out of tune too much. My tip to go home tonight.
Wagner: the embodiment of the anti-X Factor movement, fun, and can actually sing slower or operatic songs. I vote for him.

But what do you think? Who should win? Who should go home tonight? Who will go home tonight? And does anybody here actually take the show seriously?

I haven't watched it the last four weeks as the only person I live with who watches it has been away. Next Saturday and Sunday I will no doubt sit down to watch it, even if its only to pour scorn on people who like to watch it [/self-justification].
