We need a nationstates minecraft server.

We had several until Terra Empira (AKA TheBadShepperd on IRC) turned into a griefing idiot of an admin and started messing everyone's megaproject stuff up. So, you know, glorious retribution by blowing up two minor shacks and the kid get so butthurt he shuts the entire thing down.

And then the second died because running the server software melted the computer it was being hosted on. My understanding is that it literally melted components on the motherboard.

There is a server up now, but it's really laggy. Plus technically not run by a NationStates person, but several NS people play on it.

Just stumbled across this forum, Im a pretty avid player of Minecraft. I just wanted to ask the question. Did anyone else go to Minecon? (Yes...Meaning I did, I have a cape and all...)

Wanted to, but it would have cost me a around $1000 since I would have had to fly, not to mention it's hard as hell to get time off from work.

But it turned out to be for the best, the videos I've seen and what I've heard from people who did go that it really was not worth it.

I play mod-free (for now).

All I have is my nice little American Soldier skin.

Anyways, I can't seem to find a way to save all of the Minecraft files to my computer....

But, when I figure it out, I want to get a plane mod so I could fly everywhere and not have to sail in a tiny boat.

Stupid boat, breaking from one hit from a stupid swimming spider. Strandening me on an icey island in the middle of a monsoon...

The only mods I run is randommob when it get it to work and one that allows me to use 64 bit graphic skins.

My server is always looking for more traffic if people are interested in joining.
The staff team uses a ton of tools to monitor everything that happens and does not tolerate rulebreakers. Just a heads-up.
The server is pretty powerful. It should be. We pay $70 a month for it.

Technic Pack. Started with basic machines, then a quarry, then finally got into alchemy. I'm generating matter out of thin air at this point.

I've been playing the Vanilla version since Alpha, not about to stop now.

Also, the Xbox 360 version is Beta 1.6, I wouldn't pay money for a outdated version with limited terrain generation and a broken lighting system.

Agreed game is fine as is. Only mods I use are mods for SMP like world edit and world guard.

There will be free updates to the game for the 360 version.

Same for the PC version except we have more already and are getting more at a faster rate, plus larger maps, more customizibility and not having to shell out a wallet of cash every month to Microsoft for XBL.

Let's not start that pointless bickering.

Also, if you bought Minecraft PC in Alpha, you get all updates for free. They changed it to where you'll have to pay for updates from Beta onwards, but honestly they haven't started charging now, and I doubt they ever will, given the way they do snapshot releases to test the stuff contained in the big updates.

Even then, Mojang probably won't ever start charging until Minecraft starts to die in popularity or if the company itself sees financial trouble.

In short, people who bought the 360 version got suckered. Big time.
