Hexxit is nice.

^This.

It's a perfect combination of all sorts of new things to discover and explore, whilst also still being recognisably Minecraft. Additionally, I'm a lazy arse, and being able to mine diamonds pretty much from the service was more attractive than I care to admit.

Huh. It seems that I made a pretty nice house of a accidental project (I tried a new building style like 5 months ago, was a fail, and I just left the world alone). I came back, and made a pretty nice compact house out of it!

Well, it's certainly easier to obtain high-level vanilla stuff. But it also adds so much better stuff that's much harder to make. Diamonds just aren't that good anymore. There's significantly better armor, weapons, etc. and all of it's harder to obtain. I still haven't gotten enough Hexical Essence to make one of the Hexxit armors.

True, and I've lost track of the times when I've been wandering back to my base, pockets stuffed with loot, only to find a hexical flower-thingy, and end up having to work out which things I needed to throw away to be able to keep it. However, it's significantly easier to work up to the base level where you're able to begin taking on the dungeons, and beyond that it's largely about being lucky with your loot.

True, although that does depend on the dungeon. Galleons are significantly easier than I thought, but I waited quite a while to get the equipment to take on a Battle Tower. And the one I chose didn't even have a Golem. I'm planning on creating and killing a Wither as soon as I can get the heads, since I managed to make 8 Holy Hand Grenades (which, by the way, are really, really cheap for how OP they are).

I did a battletower once where nothing would spawn at all, and so each level I'd grab everything and just dash up a level. I think I got right up to the top before the game suddenly realised what was happening and spawned everything on top of me and then threw a golem at me for good measure. I did not do very well. The holy hand grenade tip is useful though, thanks. I have a tendency to avoid items that are single use only, I think mainly out of fear that I'll use them at the wrong time and waste them... :P

I kept the grenades out of my hotbar until the final staircase, so I wouldn't accidentally use them. When I got there, I got them ready, started up the staircase, and... no golem. So now I think I'll use them for a Wither.

Edit: Also, Afterlife III is really, really useful. Use it on a Livingmetal or Diamond Giant Sword, then kill Magma Cubes with the sword. You'll be able to actually increase the number of spawn eggs, and get lots of Magma Cream and XP to boot. Also, some of them will be Infernal. Since this is usually the tiny ones, you can easily kill them with the sword in one hit, as long as you have a high level of Sharpness. Then you get lots of cool stuff. I've gotten diamond shields, Ender giant swords, various armor, and even a Hexxical Diamond.

I got an insanely powerful Infernal creeper. Vengeance, Ghastly, Regen, Fiery, and a few others. Whenever I hit it, I took damage, so I could only hit it a few times without having to wait and get more health. It shot fireballs at me whenever I came too close. Then I had to leave, so I quit and all that.

Then I came back. When I opened up the world again... it just blew up. What an anticlimax.

Finally bought this game a few weeks ago.

Got an interesting seed and I've built myself a wizard's tower in Survival.

Gets real lonely, though.

I'd love to join if anybody needs help with something.

I dunno. Big projects like that at least get me close to people.

Sadly, no, it doesn't. I imagine it would be really hard to maneuver, anyway. On a super-flat map where the ground is about three blocks thick before you reach the bedrock, the spaceship reaches from the ground and nearly up to the clouds.

It's hard to get things proportioned correctly. I had to outline a picture on paint to be able to build my Spaceship. Each pixel on the picture was a block on my ship
