Which one's the NPC plugin? If it doesn't require client-side modding, and is a Bukkit mod, I'll consider sticking it on mine.

The ones I've seen and recommend are all Bukkit, most client side ones are Single Player only.

I'd be in for a Nationstates Mincraft Server. I couldn't host it, but I'd join.

If you just do a search for server hosting, the first or second search result will typically be well known companies that provide hosting for one to five people fof about seven dollars, and seven to twelve people for about $12 a month.

Lol, what would be the point of getting a server that could only hold one player?

Depending on whether or not my job becomes permanent and full-time (currently it's a temporary IT job), I'd possibly be able and willing to host an (un)official NationStates server; this would likely entail either me buying some better hardware (instead of the lame PC-turned-server I've got going now) or renting out a virtual private server (i.e. from Amazon or Joyent) (I'm not a fan of renting out a cookie-cutter gaming server, since I like having full administrative access to my machines for maximum flexibility and optimization).

I was considering buying the full version of Minecraft Lite to run on some of my Android and iOS devices; however, I'm not interested in forking over the money if it doesn't run a full Minecraft installation, since I would find much more value in a mobile version that can connect to full-version servers. Instead, I'm more interested in (semi-legally) converting the Minecraft .jars to Dalvik .apks and/or running real Java on my devices.

So does your character. And anything else living aside from possibly villagers and golems.

I always chalk up the "omg random waterfall for teh lulz!!!!!111one" to random points of really-intense moisture in the rocks.

Finding this thread made me realize I haven't played MC in over a month now... Have some good ideas, but that's all. Usually I play multiplayer only, because for some reason I just can't get into singleplayer.

Should I pick the game back up, go on singleplayer and build what I want? Creative or not?

Depends if you got any plans for what to build/do?

I use singleplayer survival as a break from working on my adventure map in creative.

Apart from a redstone testing world, I never really tried creative. Maybe I'll try that, I'm thinking of a pretty big build...

Currently, me and my brother play MC together on the Xbox, as well as I do so alone on the computer upstairs...

But recently, we've been playing Survival Superflat on Hard Mode, and attempting to survive...

We were lucky, and we found a town as soon as we got there...

Unfortunately, as soon as we started gathering materials, we figured out the problem of survival on Superflat. Slimes. Lots and lots of slimes. The number of them outside our doors grows in numbers everyday, and at night time they're followed by every other mob. At the moment, there's so many of them, that it lags our system, and strange glitches occurs, such as walking slow, being pushed away from the walls of homes, most of them being invisible, and the occasional "push" of a mob into a home because of the pile up. Attempts at escape are currently still impossible, so we've been punished to a life of digging underground, secret tunnels underneath the town to get to house to house to gather materials and such. Our biggest landmarks have been creating wheat fields on the roofs of our homes, as well as tunnels to the wheat fields already there, tunnels to every home in the town, merging three tiny homes into one giant connected home, making ladders to the roofs of most of the homes, wheat fields in torch lit homes, and underground, and creating four escape routes. Our next mission is to dig a tunnel to the town that lies just out of eye sight from our town...

Amazingly, we haven't died yet, but a recent Creeper explosion knocked out a precious tunnel that had most of our food supplies, so unless we repair it, we'll have to scrounge or possibly starve to death...
And so it was, that I had never changed.

I think that, for the sake of performance, that once you start drowning in slimes you can just switch over to peaceful and reset the mob spawns.

I wouldn't judge you for it, not in Superflat Survival.

Does switching to Peaceful actually reset the slimes? Last I checked they still spawn in Peaceful (well, spawn and then instantly despawn), so I'd be surprised if they actually despawned on the difficulty change.

No hostile mobs will spawn on peaceful, at least on PC. Not sure if that's the case on Xbox, but regardless, switching to peaceful erases all mobs and restarts their spawn timer.
