I imagine someone's already working on a resource pack that makes the items and blocks look like they did in pre 1.13.

I don't think they implemented the combat overhaul on PS3 last I played.

It's not much work, actually. Just dig into the assets folder and pull out its guts.

We have a Minecraft club at the school we go to (too bad it's at 1.7.10 when I have 1.12 at home). Me and my friends go there.

And by the way, you can see my nation's named after the game

Also, with 1.13... Haha, my base is made out of iron blocks. It's also pretty laggy due to a slow-ish computer and loads of redstone contraptions.

I hope they add at least a couple more Nether plants. they can be one-block tall ones like Nether Warts, just as long as they look surreal, hellish, and decent. I started working on a city in the Nether and I'm using too much of the same plant. Nether Warts makes what I build look better, but I'd like variety.

Didn't implement it on Switch either.

IIRC PS3 version is getting shafted when it comes to updates because something something Sony.

They don't plan on dropping support anytime soon. They will eventually but I foresee a long gradual death.

Also I'm going to be honest here the Java devs should quit while they are ahead. They don't have any clear goal besides breaking everything in the hopes of something better only to repeat the process again the next year. They need to figure out a direction or something because their current approach is stagnant.

They instituted the terracotta update, different arrows, multi-colored beds and shulker-boxes and stuff. I think I can see why they haven't done the Combat Update, because they have deathmatch minigames lobbies and I guess the Combat Update might complicate things or make that sort of gameplay for what they have set up for DM too monotonous. Put up shield, take hit, put it down, swing, put up shield, get hit, et cetera. I wouldn't mind having it either way. I hardly PvP at all though.

Bdubs been making some bad moves. I know he can make the granite-based castle look really good, but in the context of the rest of the city, it just don't fit. It belongs in a desert, not on a snowy plateau overlooking Regular Fantasy Human Cityville.

I decided to write some canon for the city. I might post it here when I'm done with it.

Also
Nether Brick-based castle for the king
or
Quartz-based castle for the king

Either will have lava pouring out the sides. It will be sitting on a natural shelf of Netherrack overlooking the city.

I stopped watching Bdubs a long, long time ago. I switched over to his vlog channel for awhile but it's just his behavior anymore and the fact he's sticking with the same world for so long...plus when he got kicked out of Mindcrack overall his channel went downhill. Mindcrack rapidly did as well after it went 'corporate', Guude especially. Now all he does is modded Minecraft group content with Coestar and his fiancee/wife.

I think I'll go for a quartz castle. All the other medieval-ish buildings are Netherbrick, and quartz is rarer so it'd definitely be a show of wealth. Plus a white castle in Hell is funny and challenging.

Bdubs seems a little crazy, sure. He does Hermitcraft now, and I don't think there's anything wrong with sticking to that one world for such a long time when there's so many different things to build in it, as long as the series is switched up enough.
I think it was Season 4 of Mindcrack that was my favorite? I think it's sad that it died though.

I decided the Hell-dweller people will be that anarcho-syndicalist commune from Monty Python.
I don't know why, but I try to build a large castle and my building skills go to shit all of a sudden.
Then I build a row of medieval houses and I'm at the height of my game.

Can we talk about how insane the game is getting with the slime block, redstone works? We don't even have to dig holes, put long lines of track down, or actually worry about how to build a working elevator anymore.
