I never use armor or swords.

Just stone tools. Economical and efficient. Only when going for diamonds or obsidian, I use some other material.

Meh, I'll just die, until I've lit my building site up.

I don't quite remember when exactly I got into Minecraft, but I do know I played it for quite a long while before Alpha 1.2.0 came out. It's piqued my interest again so I decided to reinstall it. Anyone happen to have any servers they'd personally recommend?

Dude iron is freaking everywhere and if you have iron armor and tools you're less likely to get killed and as a result can get more xp over time without worrying about losing it.

I generally play Hexxit. It's a modpack focused on adventure and so on rather than complicated automation like a lot of modpacks, and personally I love it. It's still in 1.5, unfortunately, but it's still awesome. It adds new mobs, dungeons, biomes, items, weapons, tools, blocks, and even dimensions. I can't really go back to vanilla now.

I really don't care about xp. I play MC to build, and with big projects, stone tools are just more economical, and easily replaced.

:you need to download a separate .jar file, but as long as you have a noncustom ip, it is free to run as long as you have a copy of mc. If running a server

Otherwise no.

Multiplayer is included.

Servers aren't (you don't get your own server).

I may start using stone tools. My diamond picks wear rather fast, as I branch mine for diamonds (successful). Using a bunch of stone tools instead would mean less worrying about my Fortune II diamond pick being almost broken. Though, the pickaxes would take up a lot of room in my inventory, and I like to mine whatever I come across. I'll still use armor and weapons though. I am always looking for any extra XP I can grab, since I don't have an XP farm running in Minecraft PS3.

Hmm minecraft haven't touched it since its official release.

Have they finally added more underwater creatures other than the squid ? Building underwater from Alpha to Release hasn't had that much mechanic changers.
