I have heard it and I'm part of the group who find it too hip-hop but there is a good vid on Youtube which has the original song over the Herd version of the video which is better.

Nice. More of a rock man yourself? What else do you like other than Redgum? Internationally I mean.

Hilltop Hoods suck I'm sorry. Bliss n Eso is where it's at in Aussie hip hop.

I do love Yves Klein Blue I must say. The Presets rock.

Is Slim Dusty still beloved, or has he faded from memory?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Silverchair. I loved them in the 90s and Frogstomp is still a solid album. Also, INXS was huge in the 80s and 90s.
As others have said, Nick Cave is awesome.

Because I just can't like Hilltop Hoods. I've tried, I really have. I think they take themselves just a little too seriously in some songs.

Oh YKB are awesome. They are a bit indie and a Brisbane band. But sooooooo good. I personally hate Angus and Julia Stone by the way.

Silverchair's another great Australian band. They're an inspiration for my budding band, starting young in a city not far away.

The didge is a unique instrument. Its sound matches the landscape of inner Australia perfectly I think. Good in ambient music.

AC/DC, Metallica, Thin Lizzy, an embarrassing amount of 80's glam rock, Meatloaf, Nightwish.....

To put it bluntly if I start listing everything I listen too were gonna be here all day and that would be just the rock section.

I'm the same. I like practically everything. A few bands I find a bit... crass and annoying, but there's no real genre I dislike.
