Buffyverse's Anglophilia

Postby Jingoist Hippostan » Sat Nov 06, 2010 12:14 pm

Has anyone else noticed rampant Anglophilia in the Buffy/Angel shows? It's not a bad thing, I just think it's kind of interesting.

Seriously, look at all the English and general UKian characters:

Angel (In flashbacks, anyways.)
Spike
Giles
Wesley Wyndham-Price
The various minor characters of the Watcher's Council
Doyle

I didn't think it was reaching quite ridiculous proportions until

Wesley was brought in as Doyle's replacement, to keep the UK in there.
