Is there a SciFi book like this?

Is there a SciFi or cyber-punk book set in a world where the British Empire had survived into the space age?

The Peshawar Lancers, S.M Stirling

This comes close, and Stirling will lead you to others who might've gone further.

Theres a graphic novel called Ministry of Space by Warren Ellis as well as the Dan Dare stuff.

Also, there is a role-playing game called Commonwealth Space (part of the Cold Space/FTL Now) that is probably close to what you want.

Thats all I've got from the top of my head.
