I remember there was a game for it, I think, or a game that was based of it but different title.
Was it called Peneumbra or something. I can't recall, but its fucking scary. SO, if the game scares me, I wonder what the movie will be like ._.
Then again, most movies don't really scare me unless they "surprise" me. I can just predict what will happen. It might disturb me, but no movie can make me not go to sleep. I will, however, check this movie out.

Why is it scary for me? Cause that shit happens all the time.
EDIT: Oh, and cause there's actual actor mutilation in it.

Actually, I thought Ruggero Deodato was able to prove that, except for six of the animals (which were actual deaths), it was all just fantastic effects -- I know he went to court for it.
I didn't really find it that scary, though. Gore really doesn't faze me at all, and that was the only thing in that movie that could even be remotely considered scary, except for when when the Yanomamos are closing in and about to kill them.(<-Spoiler)
Don't get me wrong, it is a great movie with some great social commentary, and I recommend it to anyone with a strong stomach.

He proved there weren't deaths.
Like I said though, the thought that that sort of shit happens all the time in RL is rather terrifying, unlike most horror films where you can just say "It's not real."

Does anyone know for sure though if there were any genuine human mutilations? Anyway, you're right, but I think that the idea and the reality being scary doesn't necessarily make it a "scary movie." That would be like calling Full Metal Jacket a scary movie.

When in doubt, wiki it.

I agree though, it doesn't look scary. Disturbing, not scary or frightening, even if it still exists in the world.

Silence of the Lambs was a rather interesting movie for me. Hannibal Lector is a brilliantly made character, certainly an influence on one of my major, major characters in RP, and writing altogether.

THERE'S something that's disturbing.
SotL was a great movie, but if you're going for sheer atrocity, it's not as bad as it could be. Which is probably a good thing, it'd turn into another slasher if that was the case.

I've never heard of Afterworld, doesn't show up in Wiki, either.
You can find CH in its entirety via google search. It's actually uploaded to Google. The last 30 minutes are prolly the worst, but it's all pretty bad.
