It's the worst thing The Beatles have ever done.
I do not find it scary, however, merely ridiculous and irksome.
On the otherhand, "Revolution" (by which I mean the electric one., not the...frankly, boring regular one.) is pretty gosh durn good.
Unibot wrote:Revolution 1 was musically pretty weak, agreed, I think though that it attached itself to the age more because it was slower and acoustic making it more appropriate to use in protest concerts. Essentially, the version has its place in time and deserved its place on the White Album, but Revolution had the balls and fury that really represents John and his real temperament -- he was actually a very angry man. The thing is, Revolution and Revolution 1 are arguing different things.. the movie, Across the Universe, actually got it correct, "Revolution" was against the radical hippie opposition to the war and "Revolution 1" was supporting it and advocating for change.

No, seriously, I was never terrified at any moment. I think after hearing the Beatles' creepy thing, the impact of all the others just dies.

Um... Not sure I get what you're saying, Uni. After all, the lyrics never change in meaning. Unless, of course, you mean the ambience changes the meaningof the song. Which makes the hippies listening to it ignorant jagoffs, and all the more reason why I respect "Revolution 9"

I'm still not sure whether its worse than Ob La Di, Ob La Da though.
You don't like Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da? That's REALLY weird.
