Well, did it!?

I was as excited as a Deathclaw in Bigtown for this game, and it did not disappoint!

What bugs? Aside from Veronica running off from me and the occasional getting stuck, I have found no game killing bugs. None of my saves have been corrupted, no quests f'ed up (that I can see anyway), no missing NPC's, nothing. I've noticed some cosmetic issues, but hardly stuff I would complain about.

You just havnt played enough. Different shit happens to different people. A few examples are rotating heads, disappearing hills, followers running off in random directions, Animals appearing out of the ground/getting stuck in the ground, the helios one ncr randomly shooting at me for no reason even though i am liked by them, victor randomly appearing in the dumbest places, and tons more.

Is 40 hours, 28 minutes, and 31 seconds along with 24 completed quests and a level 19 character played enough for you? I have experianced most of those issues, which I will address as followed;
1. Followers running off: I have experianced this multiple times, and I promptly follow thme till they get stuck on something or I get close enough for her to stop. Hardly game breaking.
2. Rotating heads: Never experienced, though that is a cosmetic issue, hardly a game breaking one.
3. Disappearing hills: This is not a bug, with a game this size one can expect some cutbacks (especially with the engine). Hills will not appear until a certain distance away from them, this is to save memory space and ensure they could fit other, more important things like quest data, onto the disc.
4. Animals appearing out of the ground/stuck in ground Well first off, they don't actually appear out of the ground, you just encounter them after they have gotten unstuck. This happens to me often, but mostly with Rad Scorpions (probably due to the majority of the creatures area being in close contact with the ground and it's fast speed), whilst this can be irritating at times, I find it to be quite useful and advantageous. I often use the time to get equiped and take amny valuable shots at said Scorpion (especially if it's a bloody Giant one, feckers are damn annoying.)
5. Helios One Guards opening fire on you Several things need to be addressed here. Have you completed the quest here? If so how did you do it? Have you unwittingly opened any doors or containers near NCR guards which are red? Did you accidentally kill a friendly guard dog whilst fighting the enemy guard dogs from one of the cages? Did you activate ARCHIMEDES II?
6. Encountering Victor in the wastes Hardly a bug, this is tied into the story, though you probably haven't played enough to figure out why. ;) (I had to, it was too good not to say :p )

Never said the bugs were game breaking, just said I didnt like them. As for victor, I dont think him randomly showing up in the Repconn basement and getting stuck in a doorway while I have a nightkin chasing me and getting me killed is tied into the story. At Helios one, The NCR dogs flew out of the ground and started attacking me for no reason, I was therefore forced to shoot them, which caused the ncr to shoot at me. Those bugs are actually hilarious looking back but at the time screwed up a few quests. Dont get me wrong New Vegas is AWESOME.

I'm sure you can play it stealthily, after all I played the last quest of both the original ending, and the Broken Steel ending in FO3 stealthily. (Note, I haven't beaten it yet, I'm taking my time.)

No, It's not about the stealthiness (stealth boy + frag mine + pickpocket = easy fun). It's about the lack of a chance to...I dunno...just talk things out, no puzzles or sneakiness to, say, pre-programme a shot into one of the Hoover Dam guns to bypass that final fight. Instead, it's just a straight-up fistfight boss.

Hmm... I've noticed a trend, people who've purchased pre-order copies seem to be suffering less from the bugs, I have a feeling it's due to the DLC packs included. I'm gonna have to get more numbers before I'm convinced, but I think that may be the trend.

Brilliant game, really brings back memories from Fallout 1 and 2. They even used the soundtrack of Fallout 1 and 2, the ambient tracks I mean, in this game. There are so many quests in this game, I have still not visited the Strip and I'm well 20 hours into the game. Purely awesome! I'm really glad that they brought back the original Fallout storyline. Fallout 3 was a great game, don't get me wrong. But it really can't compare to this.

Sad to see though that the trends of bugs is continued in this game. Most Black Isle games have a lot of bugs. I remember in Fallout 2 that a ghoul in Gecko in front of the power plant (a place very crucial for the game) was hostile to you no matter what. They patched it (a patch which rendered old save games useless)... so yeah, that's something they need to work on :) Nevertheless, they're the best gaming company ever. Fallout, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale, Baldur's Gate, pure epicness.

Yeah, they really are starting to become a nuisance. REX and Veronica keep lagging, it's getting on my bloody nerves.

Also, is anyone else getting confused by what they're actually supposed to do at times? Like, I have so many quests open I literally have no idea where I am supposed to go. It's still a great game, though.
