1980s Soviet Metal

Postby Killing is My Business » Thu Oct 14, 2010 11:00 pm

Recently I've stumbled across the metal bands: Master, Klinika, Korossia Metalla, Shah ... anyone else find the Soviet era thrash metal enthralling or am I a complete minority? I mean this was during their war in Afghanistan, there should be plenty of heavy metal bands! Death, thrash, heavy, power? What genres appeared in the Soviet states before 1991?

Communism hates human rights, so not much at all I would guess.

Ooh, a musical snob!

I'm looking at your flag. Maybe you can sing without auto-tune, but you'll need a body-double for the video :p

I'm sure I was excited when I won and bummed when I lost, but none of that stuck. Cause I was a kid, and I was alternately stoked and bummed at pretty much any given time. -Cannot think of a name

With a taste as bad as his, he doesn't even have the right to be a snob.

I seem to remember an SNL Wayne's World sketch mentioning it. They were going on about why the fall of the Soviet Union sucked or something.

Oh, hey, Aerosmith!
