So I just got back from Waters' The Wall at the Garden in Boston, and need someplace to gush about it.
It was all,
FUCKING,
AMAZING!!
No concert will ever top that one. EVER. They built a 200-foot wide wall on stage during the first half of the concert on which they played incredible animations and displayed touching graphics, there were fifty-foot tall puppets of the Schoolmaster, the Wife, and Mother, a large model airplane crashed into the wall at the beginning and exploded, there was all manner of wacky pyro shit, they showed a lot of the animations from the original movie for the album, they had the PIG-BLIMP(!!!), multiple Animals references, and a shitload of drunken, elderly/middle-aged stoners. At the end, the massive wall fell down onto the stage and into the seats in front of it (which had been left empty, thankfully).
It was truly an experience.
He's touring around the states. If you're going to see it, you're a lucky fucker. Rub it in all your friends' faces. If not - well, bum tickets off somebody fast. They'll probably cost you several hundred dollars at this point. I reserved mine half a year ago for around $140.
