What did you think of it?

I thought it was awesome. The only way to put it.

The coincidence is I've just completed the "Kasumi" and "Shadow Broker" DLC. I've also completed the "Overlord" DLC and of course ME2 itself, and ME1. I do love ME2 quite a lot, especially Liara. It's just such a wonderfully imaginative, and also believable dark scifi. All of the alien races have such unique character. The visuals are beautiful, the storyline wonderful and well... I can't find much fault in it as you no doubt can guess.

"Never be deceived that the rich will permit you to vote away their wealth." - Lucy Parsons
Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy. "Social ownership" may refer to cooperative enterprises, common ownership, state ownership, citizen ownership of equity, or any combination of these. There are many varieties of socialism and there is no single definition encapsulating all of them. They differ in the type of social ownership they advocate, the degree to which they rely on markets or planning, how management is to be organised within productive institutions, and the role of the state in constructing socialism.

The first one was better imo. There were some things in the second I liked more, like the different kind of weapons, but I always liked the level of micro management in ME1. In my eyes ME2 is not an RPG, but instead is just another squad based 3rd person shooter with a level of customization. Don't get me wrong, I like ME2, but just not as much as ME1.

I am still playing ME2, and am still near the beginning of the plot. I'm enjoying it so far.

I like the plot material better than in ME1, but I like the gameplay in ME1 a little more so far. I don't like the way they simplified the character skills in ME2 -- I loved how they worked in ME1.

What!?! That, my friend, is an injustice! To play the second without the first is just plain terrible! Shame!

Really, though, you should play it. They say you can play ME2 without playing the original, but its much more fun to have played the first.

Also, is anyone predicting a Dragon Age: Origins style "gather an army" thing in ME3?

EDIT: Also, for the record, I've beaten either five times.

After I finished a few missions, doing and completing missions was a sort of boring pain in the ass. The load times are so slow and you haven't even loaded the mission yet, you still have to go through the level and actually locate the mission start. Other than that and the load times, yes, it was awesome. Mass Effect 3 needs more easter eggs / humor though.

EDI: We can save the Normandy, Mr. Moreau, but you're going to have to help me. Give me the ship.
Joker: What, are you crazy? You start singing "Daisy Bell" and I'm done!
[Joker makes his way to the AI Core]
Joker: All right, I'm at...uh...you.
EDI: Connect the core to the Normandy's primary control module.
Joker: Great. See, this is where it starts, and when we're all just organic batteries, guess who they'll blame? "This is all Joker's fault. What a tool he was! I have to spend all day computing pi because he plugged in the Overlord!"
[The lights flicker while Joker looks worried]
EDI: Ah, I have access to the defensive systems. Thank you, Mr. Moreau. Now you must reactivate the primary drive in engineering.
Joker: Argh! You want me to go crawling through the ducts again.
EDI: I enjoy the sight of humans on their knees.
[Joker stares at EDI with a long and wary "What. The. Shit?" look on his face.]
EDI: That was a joke.
Joker: Right.

Simply one of the great game series in our life times. Apart from the storyline you really do get attached to these characters and want to see them succeed (or if you're a d-bag, see them fail).

I don't know who was talking about "long load times" in ME2 but they obviously never experienced ME1 and it's constant spinning Mass Relay load screen.

The ways you can take ME2 are sooo varied and with the addition of the DLC, and new characters, you could play this thing literally hundreds of times and - depending on your choices - never have the same game experience twice. I'm sure someone's made a web site about all of the mathematically different scenarios that could occur in ME2 - you just have to find the little nerd.

So in the end, buy these games and play them. Then wait, wait and savor the coming of ME3. And be in awe of that glory.

I played one and then my Xbox 360 broke and haven't had the money to fix it but I hear ME2 was Awesome. ME1 was awesome and the only thing I would add is Co-op Campigan and Online Multiplayer.

Well it wouldn't have been Online for the RPG parts(though that would be cool for ME, ME2 and Fallout 3), more like you use your campigan charcter and use him in like Team deathmatchs and Demolitions matches online.
