I agree with you. I can't say I like much music outside of that time period.

I like the intrumental guitarists from the 80's.
But then again the 90's had a lot of good technical death metal bands.

I have to say that I am partial to the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. After that, rock and roll died for all my purposes.

If only Elvis was still alive...

1980s has the best music and in my opinion it has not been fully rivalled since. The 70s were pretty good as well, namely for the disco stuff, and the 1990s were good for the night club. The late 1990s and the early 2000s seem to do well for the Ibiza club culture at the time. However, I lost interest with pop music since then.

Each has their own good and bad, but unfortunately this decade has more bad than good.

80´s and early 90´s. This was the time of the real good Hip-Hop. Not this Imafuckingangztafuckyou!-shit, what we have nowadays.
" 'Why do you dislike Democracy' you may ask me. The answer is simple - I dislike any system where any unpopular, but necessary decisions can´t be done because of populism."
As you may imagine, City 9 is a colony of the Universal Union aka "The Combine".
Regarding the different freedoms: For this, I have to tell you something about the 'style' of the Universal Union. Most occupied races become mindless slaves and can make no decisions on their own. We can use them as workers, soldiers, just as we please and the only thing we have to do is keeping them alive, nothing else. Therefore: Low personal/political freedoms; Good industry represented by high economic freedoms
This nation is a part of the Universal Union(Combine).

They all did, and they all had the worst music too. I listen to modern stuff mainly because it's around now. Alternative modern stuff, which makes me wonder about alternative stuff in the past that I may never hear of. I know a little I suppose...

Late 90s and early 00s

Most music I like come from that time, but I don't really give a fuck what decade a song is from, if it sounds awesome to me I like it, though it just happens to be that about 90% of all songs I like are from the late 90s and early 00s.

Though the 80's brought us some of the greatest hits of all time, the 40's gave us some of the most memorable songs to ever grace the airwaves.

Pretty difficult honestly. I'd say the 90s, not only was Alt-Rock still strong, but you also had the peak of Shoegaze and some fantastic Post-Rock. 00s was by far the best decade for Post-Rock however, we've got some Post-Hardcore, Folk, and Shoegaze resurgences going on, as well as a sort of Black Metal renaissance, some great Noise Rock was made as well, particularly Lightning Bolt.

80s were the best for Thrash and Alternative Rock with bands like The Replacements and Jesus and Mary Chain rising to prominence and peaking.

I voted the last two options. All of them have good and bad music, and since that wasn't an option...

I like some '60s and some '80s, but the best decade in my opinion is the '70s.
