YES! Finally someone who knows Tool AND Dream Theater!

I like them, and other prog rock/prog metal bands, but what do you count as prog rock/prog metal? Because a lot of music critics put Muse in there too, and their good too. And Pink Floyd could be count in too.

See my post. I'm always right, don't worry.

Would Porcupine Tree count as prog? They're a great band.

Progressive rock is best rock. I should search for more bands since I keep listening to the same ones. Other than what was mentioned here, I'll only add Kansas. Albums I more often listen to are Masque, Leftoverture, Kansas, Freaks of Nature and a few others.

Muse is alternative but such definition overlaps the boundary with progressive rock, so I'll just give them an honorable mention here as I enjoy some songs.

I like Dream Theater more, but that could be because I've only heard one of Porcupine Tree's later albums...

I also like Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Yes, Coheed and Cambria, and other unknown bands. I do like Muse too, but they're not exactly prog...

Coheed and Cambria played the main stage at Leeds Festival a few years ago, and the other three are all really well-known. You're not a muso, sorry.

I know they're well known. I meant other bands (not them), that are unknown (mostly local).

I don't know that much music but Pink Floyd is one of my favourite bands. I also like King Crimson and Rush to a lesser extent. I'm going to have to listen to more sometime...
