Ok, one: you are spamming by posting that . Two: how is this spam, I just posted that I thought it was dull. Connery did a good job though.

The post before his was August 27th IIRC, today is September 11th, I'd say that qualifies as a grave dig.

Himeu did it on multiple threads. It wasn't at all necessary.

Well, obviously the thread has prospered. If you think it's a grave dig, then don't post.

Connery, Dalton and Craig. My hat goes off to Craig and Dalton for completely reinventing the character, and my hat goes off twice to Craig for managing to capture the smoothness and class of Connery's Bond in a modern incarnation, while still being as every bit as edgy as Dalton. I'm going to give this one to Craig, because he managed to make this one a close one while under unsurmountable pressure from Connery, and the evil tendency to classify anything that is older as better for being 'classic'. I'd like to see what people think of the different bonds in fifty, sixty years, when the time that extends between Connery and Craig seems closer, and both of them 'are out of date'. "Living Daylights" has a special place in my heart for being the first bond flick I watched, but "Goldfinger" takes the best plot for a bond film and "Casino Royale" for best overall film (acting, production, originality, composition, edge).

Roger Moore was the worst bond, I'm sorry, but he was this skinny British man that was tastelessly arrogant, and frankly, silly. Bronson follows the same problem, he had the suaveness, but couldn't pull off the action -- he didn't feel like the dangerous man that Craig, Dalton and Connery were to be reckoned with. Bronson was also in some of the worst Bond flicks, mostly because they lacked originality, and were exactly the same as the other stuff being produced, which is what separates the other Bond's from Connery's work -- When Connery was Bond, there were no other spy or action films, he was the man.

I can agree with some of that. At times, Moore could be good, but yes, he had an aristocratic arrogance about him.

Dito about the MGM part. I really hope they'll make another one.

Bond 23 is already in the making, though I've heard that Craig won't be Bond in it...

Anyways, I agree with everyone who says Connery's the best, followed IMO by Brosnan, Dalton, and Craig. Moore was too flamboyant and didn't have that cold, this might be the end of my rope sense that the others did. I don't count Lazenby as a true Bond because he only got one movie and shot down the chance to make another just to sail around the world.

I never said it wasn't being made, I just said MGM is in an economic rut. They put all their projects on hold, including the Red Dawn remake which was already in pre production.
