I liked A View To A Kill with moore. However , Lazenby and Connery will always prevail!

The best Bond?

Postby Allitonia » Thu Aug 19, 2010 8:26 pm

Connery: the most quintessential bond; Dalton: the truest. It's hard for me to pick a single Bond as I love all equally (except perhaps Lazenby, but then, he was never given a real chance). All were fine actors who gave a unique character and interpretation to Bond, and I must say, as a lifetime Bond fan, they were all uniquely brilliantly, and most importantly, entertaining in their own way.

Every Bond kicked ass even Brosnan and Craig who has brought a sense of brutality to the character. But they are all second to Connery. 8)

totally agree! Moore had an aristocratic arrogance and Brosnan, Craig, and Dalton were all just cold killers. Connery brough real thrill, but I truly dislike Brosnan.

goldfinger and quantum of solace
Cosumaria inhabited the land now known as Cosumar for dozens of generations thousands of years ago. For hundreds of years Cosumaria was prosperous and the citizens were happy. Eventually, the land became more and more corrupt as the Kings became power hungry. This led to a dark time for Cosumaria, the people were oppresed and were stripped of their rights. On the year 1208, a civil war broke out between rebels and the corrupt government. On 1224, the rebels emerged victorious. The rebels founded the nation Cosumar. Ever since, Cosumar has been ruled by a fair line of Kings and have achieved many great things. Cosumaria is now referred to by modern Cosumarites as Ancient Cosumaria.

I liked Brosnan, but he did get some of the worst movies, IMO. My favorite is kind of a tie between Dalton and Connery.

Best Movies: Thunderball and Goldeneye. The Living Daylights takes a runner up spot.
Best Actors: Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan. Timothy Dalton is the runner up.
Moore was my least favorite.

Yeah. ^^ This. Connery will never be topped as Bond. After all, he did kinda set the bar pretty high.

I alternate between Brosnan and Moore, but I think they're all thoroughly brilliant.

Connery is the best, no question. Ol' Sean did so well as Bond that the authors of the novels changed part of his heritage to Scottish. But if there was a number two I would say it would be Pierce Brosnan, as Bond is one of my favourite movie characters and he was the badass Bond that I grew up on, which is why it pains me to see him in Mama Mia :(

Connery for #1, followed by Moore, then Bronson. Something about Dalton is just very wrong for the part, for me. Daniel Criag takes it in an interesting new direction.
