When we see a sequence of events that are supposed to be dangerous for the characters on screen, but then cartoonish impossible solutions are found and there are no consequences AND someone leaps in at the end who was not involved in the sequence whatsoever and saves the day, all sense of danger disappears. It becomes a fucking cartoon. Nothing actually happens. So the viewer gets bored with the spectacle on screen and the director might as well have not put that sequence in the damned movie.
