I agree. It really caught me off guard how much I wound up liking it... in the previews it looked like it might be slow and boring, but it was reasonably fast-paced and very well written and acted throughout, and they managed to make food items I normally wouldn't even consider eating look at least somewhat appetizing (still would've liked to see some pizza, or maybe a burger and fries or something, but oh well).

lol. it takes place in france, not uncultured america.

Yeah i really liked alien 3 as well. I like the first three each in their own ways, but i thought the fourth one was complete garbage.

At this point, we've pretty much proven that not only can evolution happen, it pretty much must happen since it's basically impossible to prevent it from happening.

Lee Daniels' The Butler on HBO. A great and engaging movie, in my opinion.

Count me as one who considers the original "Alien" to be the best.

I remember liking Resurrection until the last twenty minutes or so, which was a massive anti-climax. However, I haven't seen it since it came out in the late 90s, so maybe it's worse than I remember.

I always thought 3 was the worst... I still like it, but not as much as the others. My ranking would be:

Aliens
Resurrection (making it an action movie again was a big improvement IMO; am I really the only one who went 10/10 on this movie?)
Alien (bit on the slow side for me, till the chestburster scene and then it picked up)
Alien 3 (the slowest one, and therefore the worst)

On a side note, I'd also put the first AVP slightly above Alien 3... not sure if it's technically considered part of the series or not though, so I didn't include it.
