I liked this movie, although I'm curious how Quentin Tarantino would have directed it.

I watched Tombstone again. Val Kilmer owns that movie, even if it's not about Doc Holliday.

Pretty sure that was some metaphor for climbing into heaven or something after he apparently died. He was depressed pretty much through the whole movie, so I think the end he is sorta just "giving up" and let himself die

I get that, it just brings the movie to a screeching halt and ending, IMO. Even after he was able to get the girl int he end.

Yeah, I can understand that. Though some of those kinds of endings are my favorites. But honestly, more often than not, like forced, screeching halt happy endings (War of the Worlds) SERIOUSLY brings the movie down to a "Meh" state for me. I won't hate an entire movie because of a bad ending like a lot of people seem to, but it can certainly bring my opinion of it down a notch. And a lackluster ending like the modern take of that movie had certainly fits the bill.

Taken 3. I love me some Liam, I do, but he needs to find a different avenue of movies. It seems like lately, all of his movies have been versions of Taken. Le sigh.

It was called Non-Stop. It was basically more Speed on an airplane than anything to do with Taken, but yeah... definitely another action flick. At least they got a director who knows how cameras work for this one, though... the Taken movies so far have been a fucking mess, I'm debating not even bothering with 3.

The Imitation Game

Although there's a lot more historical inaccuracies than i thought there would be, it's still amazing on it's own. I almost cried by the end of the movie. I'd give it 9/10.

Perfect Sisters (2014)
Starring Abigail Breslin and Georgie Henley

Honestly it wasn't that great. Well, the first half of the movie felt really sloppy. The scenes kinda felt half assed, it was cut off at weird times, jumped around weirdly, and so on. One minute this scene was going on and then the next we're suddenly in Thanksgiving with no real explanation, and just generally how it was done altogether didn't feel very good...Hell, even the acting wasn't that good if I recall and I like Abigail Breslin as an actress a fair amount in some of the roles I've seen. I've only seen Georgie Henley in Narnia (Lucy Pevensie) so I can't really say how good she is normally. In fact, I don't think she was amazing in the last Narnia movie if I recall, and that was the last Narnia movie altogether and it was probably my least favorite. And the 2nd one was my favorite...I think in the first two movies she was better. The acting wasn't really horrible, but it wasn't great, either. They did decently. The mother seemed pretty sloppy at times, though...I think it might be more of a case of bad directing than anything.

About halfway through, though, I started to enjoy the movie more. But I think that may be more due to the content getting better at the halfway point...Better as in a bit darker. It kinda felt like it was better done altogether at that point, but there were still some pretty meh moments. And honestly at this point I think the acting strangely got better as well, but maybe I was just more engrossed into the movie at this point I didn't notice as much, I don't know. And to make it even worse with how it got darker, suddenly the ending comes and I'm realizing that the movie is based off a freaking TRUE STORY. They didn't really make that clear until that point, which at that point they made it blatantly obvious and I'm like "WUT?", because that's pretty messed up

The true story (Spoilers if you want to watch the movie for whatever reason)

But still, despite the fact it "Redeemed" itself a little with its sudden darker material I didn't really expect, it is based off a true story which I think kinda ruins it in my initial opinion of it being kinda creativity, and I'd still give it probably a 6/10. Okay but not really that worthwhile. But better than my initial impressions...

But hey, the two leads (The sisters) are both girls I think are cute...So I guess there's that :P. Which is worth nothing if the movie is crap.

Edit: Hah, this movie has a 1.9/5 rating on RYM. Not honestly surprised. But I'm weird with ratings because even if it's really not that good, I can still give it something decent rating wise because I can find it somewhat enjoyable on some level. But I'm also super critical of everything so I don't give high ratings easy...It's weird...

Koyaanisqatsi.

"'Koyaanisqatsi,' then, is an invitation to knee-jerk environmentalism of the most sentimental kind. It is all images and music. There is no overt message except the obvious one (the Grand Canyon is prettier than Manhattan). It has been hailed as a vast and sorrowful vision, but to what end? If the people in all those cars on all those expressways are indeed living crazy lives, their problem is not the expressway (which is all that makes life in L.A. manageable) but perhaps social facts such as unemployment, crime, racism, drug abuse and illiteracy -- issues so complicated that a return to nature seems like an elitist joke at their expense."

- from Ebert's 1983 review of the film

I've seen this movie ten times at the very least. Its message isn't as strong when you're no longer a young impressionable teen and once you've studied the root causes of social ills.

I agree. It really caught me off guard how much I wound up liking it... in the previews it looked like it might be slow and boring, but it was reasonably fast-paced and very well written and acted throughout, and they managed to make food items I normally wouldn't even consider eating look at least somewhat appetizing (still would've liked to see some pizza, or maybe a burger and fries or something, but oh well).
